Judge Rules JonBenet Indictment Will Be Made Public

(Boulder, CO)  --  A Colorado judge is ruling that portions of a 1999 grand jury indictment against JonBenet Ramsey's parents will be made public.  JonBenet's father John Ramsey had claimed releasing the unprosecuted indictment would further defame both him and his now-dead wife Patsy.  He opposed the release of the document unless the entire grand jury record was made public.  The judge denied that request, saying that move would impede other grand juries from performing their functions.

Six-year-old JonBenet Ramsey was found dead in the basement of her family's Boulder home in 1996.  Police have never identified her killer.  The documents will be posted Friday.
